What does acupuncture do?

Acupuncture increases the circulation of oxygen rich blood to muscles and joints, decreasing cell degeneration, relieving pain and increasing strength by stimulating muscle and nerve health.

These pages offer very basic information about a rich and many- layerd 5,000 year old medical system and it's practice in modern America. Most ailments and diseases begin with an imbalance in the body's function brought on by stress and other lifestyle circumstances. The very least that acupuncture does is reduce/eliminate the results of  stress and return  internal systems to the balance they thrive on. Then, specific healing begins and disorders begin to resolve.
